When choosing Spanish books for A2 level, my students are generally quite confused. We’ve all heard reading is a great way to improve your Spanish level. But, how do you actually put it into practice? What can you do when your level is not yet good enough to read “the real stuff”? Here is a list of my top books in Spanish for A2 learners:

1 – Lola Lago (Editorial difusión)
As I had already mentioned in this post, the Editorial difusión has a wonderful collection of graded readers. For today’s post about novels, I selected the collection called “Lola Lago”, which is a series of “easy” novels about a detective. It is AMAZING because it offers the possibility of reading AND listening to the mp3 file. The stories have a bit of mystery in them, which helps also keep your interest alive!
2- GTL A2 – Grandes títulos de la literatura (Editorial Edelsa)
Discover some of the most important works of Spanish literature in an accessible format. A great way to know more about Spanish culture without necesarily having to complete a master degree ^.^
3 -Mi primer camino (María Seco)
An easy book that will introduce you to the Camino de Santiago. It’s easy to read and through it you will discover much more about this pilgrimage.
4- La casa amarilla
[For French speakers, as annotations are in French] In this book, you’ll find contemporary short stories, annotated for easy reading, and a double page spread after each story to summarize all the vocabulary.
